I will be using a number of techniques in order to soothe your baby and achieve those adorable poses, I have lots of tricks up my sleeve and everything should go according to plan. On the rare occasion that a baby may be unable to settle, we will reschedule for another day.
I aim to get a range of images from having your baby dressed/wrapped and cosy to wearing nothing if desired. I am prepared to clean up after the session and I have plenty of blankets and wraps to use during the session. Please don’t be embarrassed if there are any accidents, it’s to be expected! Everything goes in the wash after the session.
Feeling nervous about being in front of the camera? I know how that feels but please don’t worry, I will help you to relax and coach you through poses so we can create precious, authentic moments that you’ll treasure. Everyone thinks they’re not photogenic but it’s my job to put you at ease and photograph you at your most flattering angles. I have studied posing and camera angles and I put all this into practice to make you look fabulous.
Of course I could do this but please think carefully about it. I always try to encourage the parents to get in a few photos as it’s a lovely reminder of just how tiny your baby is.
Due to the nature of a newborn session, unfortunately I don’t offer mini sessions as I feel they cannot be rushed. We may need to wait for some time for your baby to feed and fall asleep.
Simply put, you won’t want to! There will be photographs taken on the day that are very similar, I tend to take a safety shot first then perfect the pose and take another. I then use my discretion to select only the very best photographs to present to you, this way I can guarantee that you won’t be disappointed.
