Newborn

Questions

I will be using a number of techniques in order to soothe your baby and achieve those adorable poses, I have lots of tricks up my sleeve and everything should go according to plan. On the rare occasion that a baby may be unable to settle, we will reschedule for another day.

I aim to get a range of images from having your baby dressed/wrapped and cosy to wearing nothing if desired. I am prepared to clean up after the session and I have plenty of blankets and wraps to use during the session. Please don’t be embarrassed if there are any accidents, it’s to be expected! Everything goes in the wash after the session.

Feeling nervous about being in front of the camera? I know how that feels but please don’t worry, I will help you to relax and coach you through poses so we can create precious, authentic moments that you’ll treasure. Everyone thinks they’re not photogenic but it’s my job to put you at ease and photograph you at your most flattering angles. I have studied posing and camera angles and I put all this into practice to make you look fabulous.

Of course I could do this but please think carefully about it. I always try to encourage the parents to get in a few photos as it’s a lovely reminder of just how tiny your baby is.

Due to the nature of a newborn session, unfortunately I don’t offer mini sessions as I feel they cannot be rushed. We may need to wait for some time for your baby to feed and fall asleep.

Simply put, you won’t want to! There will be photographs taken on the day that are very similar, I tend to take a safety shot first then perfect the pose and take another. I then use my discretion to select only the very best photographs to present to you, this way I can guarantee that you won’t be disappointed.

Print & Digital

Photographs

Whilst I recommend having a physical artwork to hold and appreciate rather than a USB I do also believe that in this day and age you should have access to your digital files in order to share as often as you’d like that’s why I offer digital packages with prints included. The minimum number of digital files you can purchase is 6 right through to all the images in your gallery.

On purchasing digitals you will be granted a license to reproduce, display and distribute the photographs from the session either in digital or print form for personal use, such as for family and friends, on social media sites, personal email distribution, framed prints and photographic products.

I offer 10×8” (close to A4) prints with the middle and top packages. I have also sourced an excellent consumer lab to print with which is fully equipped to print professional quality images and you can conveniently order online via a shop linked to your gallery. You can design your own album, order frames, prints and gifts such as calendars and cards. (Please note, these are different to my bespoke products, see below for those).

I wouldn’t recommend your average high street photo printing shop as they have a high turn around and are not printing to a high professional standard. Colours will be flat and muted and they will be of low quality. I cannot stress enough how much a photograph can change depending on where it is printed.

I have sourced the most timeless, stylish products to compliment your portraits and look stunning in your home. I have a beautiful selection of bespoke frames, albums and acrylics that I’m certain you’ll find what you are looking for. I highly recommend that you enjoy both a tangible product for your home as well as digitals to share with your family or online. Please ask to see my a-la-carte brochure and once you have selected your product I do the rest.

I use a professional printing service that are second to none. When you invest in my carefully selected range of wall-art, albums or presentation boxes you are investing in high quality product that is true value for money.

Yes! I provide a full colour gallery with some black and whites. Every image is photographed in colour and edited that way, I then provide a black and white conversion of a selection of images that I feel are perfectly suited to monochrome.

Excellent please call, email or contact me via my online form here.
